Millions of teens and adults suffer from alcohol and drug abuse in America. A person that abuses drugs or alcohol risks losing their job, health and family.  

There are no hard and fast rules concerning overuse or addiction to alcohol and drugs. Some people are in trouble with just one drink or hit of marijuana.  Others may be able to use greater amounts without apparent problem.

One thing is clear. Alcoholism and drug abuse wreck lives.  Treatment typically consists of involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous, and supportive counseling for the individual and family.
